Our Approach

Syd Biotechnologies offers customized genomic library construction using cosmid and fosmid vectors, tailored to your project requirements. Both randomly sheared and restriction enzyme-digested genomic DNA are utilized to generate high-quality libraries. High molecular weight DNA is carefully purified and either mechanically sheared or digested with enzymes such as Sau3A1. It is then fractionated via sucrose density gradient centrifugation to minimize unwanted fragmentation.

Target DNA fragments, typically ranging from 30 to 40 kb, are selected, end-repaired, and ligated into suitable vectors. The resulting constructs are efficiently packaged and introduced into host cells for propagation. Each genomic library undergoes stringent quality control checks before being delivered to the client, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
