Shotgun Library

Syd Biotechnologies provides custom shotgun library construction services for a wide range of DNA sources, including genomic, viral, BAC, PAC, and cosmid inserts. Libraries are constructed using the pUC18 sequencing vector and a refined ‘Double Adapter’ strategy—originally developed and employed by the Baylor College of Medicine Human Genome Sequencing Center (BCM-HGSC) for the Human Genome Project. This method ensures efficient and high-quality library generation, suitable for advanced sequencing and genomic analysis applications.
